It’s only going to get crazier

The thing about the latest tools of the trade – from blogs like this to social networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, to podcasts, wikis and photo sharing – is that clearly clients are beginning to understand the value, and more importantly, the need to get started. The question is, who is going to manage all this stuff?

Customer Service? HR? PR? The advertising agency? 

Do you need a new department within your organization? Or do you simply overburden those already stooped under the weight of their re-organized jobs?

In a company with multiple product divisions, is it run at a corporate level? Do you evangelize your product managers? I’m hardly an expert on that topic (I’m a creative director), especially in the social media space. But at the moment I observe that there are really more enthusiasts than experts. So I’m thinking: Go with the most enthusiastic at the moment. 

How is your company embracing the space?
