Getting engaged on YouTube

11 Sep

I know I do bleat on about how Victoria is such a well-connected place for the Social Media-minded.

One of the recent developments that backs me up is the EngageRY YouTube channel created by Russel Lolacher and Yukari Peerless.

They call their show Getting Engaged – Online, in life and at work and are working on Episode 5 this weekend. They invited me on as a guest in Episode 4 (view it here). I was so long winded that we ended up with an Episode 4.5 as well (which you can view here). Those who know me will not be surprised that I didn’t let either really get a word in edgewise.

What makes their channel such a notable idea is that they are not promoting or selling anything. It’s just a generous effort to provide a forum to discuss things that social media fans care about.

I hope they will evolve the show, maybe taking online questions as they tape, or recording in areas  that encourage random participation.

You can find them both on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, FourSquare, their respective blogs (Yukari’s and Russel’s) and, thanks to this new effort, YouTube.

My potato is in for these guys.
