Victoria’s Up and Comers, Part 3

4 Apr

This is the third in a series of 6 posts that hopes to bring some promising local grads and current students to the attention of the larger business community.

CALE FROMBACH: Business guy or creative guy? Yes.

EDUCATION:  4th Year Bachelor of Business Admin at Camosun College

CURRENTLY: Term Contractor at BC Parks

WEBSITE: calefrombach.com

TWITTER: twitter.com/calefrombach

Meet Cale Frombach. Again. You met him last month as one of our Zombie Intern finalists. He created that clever re-skinning of the Copeland website as a Zombie hunter.

What we found so remarkable about Cale’s entry was that he isn’t a website designer at all – he’s a business student. You don’t see this kind of versatility every day. Check out his website and you’ll see right away that he’s not your ordinary Business Administration undergrad.

He taught himself Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to be more well-rounded and bring the technical component that most business grads lack. Companies that typically outsource for, say, web development, would have in-house resources with a guy like Cale.

“Cale’s an impressive student”, says Marina Jaffey, the head of his program at Camosun. “He is smart and respectful, which is important, but he’s also fun to work with.” Which is essential.

He sees himself as an employee with his hands in a lot of pies.  The ideal job would bring together his interests in creative, business and technology.

With a side of dinosaurs and zombies.

Awesome website Cale. Good to see a fellow business admin student getting the recognition you deserve.

    Thanks Brad! Business administration represent!

On the topic of zombies and dinosaurs, can’t we combine the two? http://i.imgur.com/96eVt.jpg

There may be some immigration issues down south there Cale, but man, that is a fantastic illustration. Makes me want to vacation in Mexico!
