Douglas Magazine editor hits the road

24 Jun

Victoria lost an excellent writer, editor and all around great guy last week when Douglas Magazine editor Brian Hartz filled a truck with his belongings and drove back to Bloomington, Indiana, the same town Jay Baer calls home.

Here’s Brian in a hairbag ready to put on 10 lbs.

He left as he arrived, with minimal fanfare. But not before making his mark on the business community and its most prominent publication.

Victoria's Douglas MagazineBrian took on the editor’s job in February 2011, and in my opinion Douglas became an even better business magazine under his brief but inspired stewardship.

Credit to Page One Publishing owners Lise Gyorkos and Georgina Camilleri for bringing someone of Brian’s talent to the mag.

Damn, this is sounding like a eulogy. The dude is still alive and kicking and lining up potential work back home in Indiana!

Good luck Brian. You’ve left a lot of fans and supporters back here in old Vic.

I feel so bad about using the hairbag/donut photo!
